Last year our Chairman & Chief Executive commissioned Nigel Watson to produce a history of the James Donaldson Group entitled In Their Fathers’ Footsteps. Not only is this a history of the family business, but also a history of the UK timber industry.

The UK timber industry has seen tremendous changes during the last century. Many of the small family businesses which once dominated the industry have fallen by the wayside in the face of intense competition.
